Working on the International collaborative research project with McMaster University, Canada, entitled 'Fast, affordable, easy to use TB and MDRTB handheld tester for use in poor resource settings.' His PhD work involves culturing M. tuberculosis bacteria, and performing genomic DNA isolation and specific PCR amplification to identify the normal and antibiotic resistance strains.
